Making Your Own Ginger Beer Home Brew

Available from June 12, 2008 – 5:50 pm

Ginger beer is a great and refreshing drink, and if you are interested in making your own ginger beer home brew, then you can really rest assured in knowing that there are only a few steps that are involved here and so the process overall is quite fast and easy.

How To Make The Ginger Beer Home Brew Yourself

The first step that is involved with making ginger beer home brew is to gather all of the ingredients that you are going to need, which are: 2 liter bottle of mineral water, large chunk of root ginger (you need 1 ½ to 2 tablespoons of grated ginger), 1 lemon, 1 cup of sugar, ¼ teaspoon of dried yeast, 1 plastic funnel.

Then you need to lay out all of your ingredients so that you can make sure that you have not forgotten anything, decant the water into a suitable temporary container, and then using a plastic funnel, pour the sugar into the bottle.

Next you want to add the dried yeast into the bottle through the funnel, then grate the ginger until you have between 1 ½ and 2 tablespoon’s worth, then extract the juice from one lemon, mix the grated ginger and the lemon juice together in a cup, then add the ginger and lemon mixture through the funnel and into the bottle as well, and then finally you add the water to the bottle.

Make sure that you fill it up about ¾ of the way full, and then put the cap on and shake the bottle until all of the sugar is fully dissolved. Then top the bottle up with water until there is approximately a one inch gap at the top, and this gap is to prevent explosions once the yeast gets to work.

Then all you have to do is put the lid on as tightly as you possibly can and put the bottle somewhere warm so that it can finish. After a day or two and once the bottle is very hard, the ginger beer is done and ready for you to try.

Making your own ginger beer home brew is thus incredibly easy, and you can even add your own personal touch to it by adding in different flavors and ingredients, if you want to. Just make sure that you stick with the basics of the ginger beer home brew recipe, so that you do not get too off base.

Cooper’s Home Brew: Why It Is Better Than All The Rest

Available from June 12, 2008 – 5:47 pm

There are a number of different home brew brands that you have to choose from when it comes to brewing your own coffee, beer or ice tea at home, however one of the best brews by far is that of Cooper’s home brew, and there are several reasons of particular importance for this.

Why Cooper’s Home Brew Is Your Best Choice

One of the most major reasons why Cooper’s home brew is your best choice is because of how high quality it is. Whether you are making coffee, beer or ice tea, you are never going to be able to find a home brew brand that offers more freshness or more flavor than Cooper’s home brew.

Not only that, but as well, when compared to the other home brew options that are available to you today, Cooper’s home brew is by far the most affordable, and so again you are getting a great deal when you go with this option.

The reason that Cooper’s is so great is because the Cooper Company takes its time to make all of its brews, and they care about putting the most quality into each and every package of brew that they possibly can so that each customer can be totally satisfied.

The company has been around for over a decade now, and over that time they have gained an incredibly respected reputation, which is without a doubt deserving. They offer extremely high quality, affordable prices, and superior customer service, and there is really no other quality that you would want or need from a company.

Furthermore, because Cooper’s is such a popular brand name, you really do not have to spend a lot of time looking for it because for the most part, all stores carry at least a remote selection of Cooper home brew products.

If you are used to another brand and are unsure about switching from yours to Cooper’s, then you should know that you should at least give it a chance because you are going to be glad that you did when you taste the difference.

Saving money, getting better quality, and gaining more convenience – there are nothing but positive aspects that are going to come from you going with the Cooper’s brand, and so if you do not already, then you are definitely going to want to make sure that you switch or at least give it a chance sometime soon.

Tips And Suggestions For Carbonating Your Homemade Beer

Available from June 12, 2008 – 5:45 pm

Beer has been a part of American history and culture since those first ships docked on the new shores.  What the colonists tossed back in the quaint taverns is probably quite different from the beer you drink during Super Bowl and at cook-outs today.  Although actually quite simple in its process, there is still much that goes into making beer.  Mainly time.  Like any good wine, good beer needs time to age.  And it does get better with age.

Another thing that must occur after the brewing of your homemade beer is the carbonating.  This is key to how your creation will turn out.  It also ensures that any bacteria that managed to sneak in have been neutralized.  It is a proven fact that nothing in any way dangerous to humans can live in a current and active beer and/or yeast environment.  What makes a beer active is the carbonating.  Whether home made beer or a commercial brew, they all need carbonation.

Is There A “How To” Manual Anywhere?

There are a few different ways you can choose for carbonating your homemade beer:

Put your beer into a closed pressure tank and pump that baby with carbon dioxide.  You would need a pressure gauge and a few other pieces of testing equipment to make sure you have the proper amount of gas.  Many major brewing companies use this method because it is inexpensive and much easier.  This process is designed to shave time off of the carbonating process.  Homemade beer and commercial beer can both be treated this way, if you have all of the equipment and tools necessary.

The other way for carbonating your homemade beer is also the oldest and more traditional method.  As opposed to directing inserting the carbon dioxide into the brew, yeast and a dose of wort (unfermented beer) is added.  The yeast will ferment the wort and the result is carbon dioxide.  Viola!  The beer then needs to be bottled and capped, or anything pressure-tight and stored for at least two weeks.  Experts suggest a longer period of time (four to six weeks), but you may not be able to hold out that long.

The more traditional carbonating method is preferred by most commercial breweries, and definitely preferred by private brewers.  You can certainly speed the process along and take plenty of short-cuts, but in the end time is the most essential ingredient.  There is a popular old saying, “Patience is a virtue.”  If you can be patient and allow your brew to age properly and naturally, you will end up with a great tasting beer.
